This year we give you the opportunity to visit two Christmas Markets in the same town! Oberhausen, Germany has a beautiful but small Christmas Market in the old part of the city and a large Christmas Market in the CentrO, the biggest shopping and leisure mall in Europe! We will travel by train (a two and a half hour trip) and stay in a 4* hotel in the center of the old town. We will take a walking tour of the city to learn all about history and architecture. We will also enjoy the visit of a local brewery, followed by a typical German dinner. We will have the traditional gift exchange during dinner.

Canadian Xmas market and Children’s party
Come and enjoy making Xmas decorations and sampling Christmas fare at our annual festive event! Children can participate in cooking workshops and xmas decoration workshops while waiting for Santa to brave the traffic! Vendors will tempt you with their creative and artistic wares which will be excellent stocking fillers and special gifts to offer family and friends for Xmas. 10% of goods sold will be offered to charities.

Easter Egg Hunt
Join us at our annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of the Canadian Residence ( date permitting). This year we promise to make the clues harder and rewards bigger! As last year all under 7’s will have their private hunt while older children will be more challenged. Parents also will be spoilt with home baked goods and warm drinks!

JUNE FAMILY BBQ
Our family BBQ is back by popular demand! This year it shall be held at the American Baseball Federation (ABF), in Wassenaar, where the children can endlessly play using all facilities available to them. All families can partake in organized games such as water balloon fights, soccer and the smaller children can enjoy the jumping castle.You can also stock up on summer reading at the second hand book stall, and Canadian food products for those of you not able to return home this summer. Food will be prepared by the Canadian restaurant Mondani and we shall be again spoilt with spare ribs, delicious salads, Canadian wine, beer and soft drinks.
