Les Amis de Cuisine
If you enjoy cooking and making new friends then the club, Les Amis de Cuisine would be perfect for you!
Starting on Sunday, 15th of November 2009 LAdC starts a new Sunday afternoon cooking session for expatriates. The spoken language at these sessions will be English.
Les Amis de Cuisine The Hague (LAdC) is a club which promotes practising ‘Culinary art’ for its approximately 250 members.
Cooking sessions take place on a monthly basis (excluding one month in the summer) and usually have about 15 participants. Members participate in 11 cooking sessions a year in our professionally equipped kitchen with adjacent dining room and bar. The sessions are supervised by a ‘chef’ who is supported by a ‘sous chef’ Menus normally consist of six courses, with an accent on French cuisine.
The expatriate sessions are held at Valeriusstraat 13, in The Hague and begin Sundays at 12h00. They usually end around 17h00. In addition to preparing the meal, participants are also responsible for the mise en place, setting the table and clearing the dining area. A small fee is also requested for a hired dishwasher thereby taking that less enjoyable factor out of the afternoon!
